Danbaraodan(1941.7--) male, Tibetan
 
Born in a family of painting in Qusong. One of the inheritors of Miantang school.
In 1952, he began to accept his father's guidance, learning Thangka painting skills
In 1984 he was officially transferred to the present Tibet University Art Institute.
He is now the president of Tibetan Folk Art Association, the professor of Tibetan art at the Art College of Tibet University, the tutor of postgraduates, a successor of Tibetan Tangka Miantang School of National intangible cultural heritage and a member of China Art Association.
In 1984 he wrote "Tibetan painting teaching materials - the essence of practice." when he taught in department of Art, Tibet University.
In 1989 he was honored outstanding teaching achievement award from the State Education Commission.
In 1990 he won the art education award of Wu Zuoren international art foundation
In 1990 he was honored outstanding teaching achievement award from the State Education Commission.
In 1991 his works "Earth" was collected in Four Seasons art exhibition which organized by Japan.
In 1995 he won the Everest Literature and Art Award which is the highest achievement award of Tibetan literature and art.
In 1996 he published "Tibetan painting".
In 1999 his work “one of eighteen arhat-Ajita” won the gold award on the second Chinese Art Grand Prix; and he was crowned “world outstanding Chinese artist" title.
In 1999, he visited to four African countries, Thangka "bag monk" was collected by the Egyptian International National Museum.
In 2003 he worked with AwangJinmei to co-author a "history of Tibetan art" and "Han Tibetan Art Dictionary".
In 2005, he was invited to Japan to give lectures by National Buddhist University of Japan.
